"Nice, baby"

I'm a huge Happy Rant podcast fan and it was like a dream when they asked to use my drawings on a mug! It makes the Lagares Roaster's coffee taste even better.

April hath put a spirit of youth in everything.

The big project for this year is illustrating a second children's book with Mograce Publishing. I'm at the stage where I've been sketching and developing some character studies! This is an inventor with his apprentice (and house cat). The new book "A Kingdom Without Rhyme" will have an industrial Victorian style, so it's been fun to play with that genre.

I'm excited to offer original framed watercolors for sale in my Etsy shop! Check them all out here.

*In other news, still sketching my webcomic every Friday. It's been such a fun little side project.

*There is a nifty little post over at Two Leaves + a Bud blog about our tea/art collaboration. Grab a cuppa and take a look!

Tales of Retail

I'm happy to share that the Wild Birds Unlimited gift shop located in the Cornell Ornithology Lab is now carrying my "musical birds" notecards. These cards show the musical transcription of actual bird songs (source: "Google" and "Field Guide of Wild Birds and Their Music" by F. Schuyler Mathews). The Lab is a beautiful place, filled with trails and great resources for bird lovers. I'm glad to be partnered with them.

If you're in the Ithaca area, stop over! Currently they carry the Wood Thrush, Robin, and Cardinal designs.
