Bursting into Bloom
I finally figured out how to film a work-in-progress video! This is going to be fun.

...and Action!
Armed with twine, a coat hanger, and tape, I "MacGyver-ed" a tripod for my iPhone to record a more involved watercolor time-lapse.
For the curious...
*Real time: 2 hours 22 minutes (not including short breaks)
*I used masking fluid to cover the drawing of the shepherd and dog so that I could paint the background freely. You can see it being peeled off like rubber once the background is all done.
*Watercolor is used for the whole painting except for the sheep: I used white gouache.
Watercolor, gouache + pencil, 8"x 12".

Buttercups
Snow is falling outside of my window. With a cup of hot coffee in hand, I'm painting flowers to protest.
I've seen several of these neat little time-lapse videos so I thought I'd join the fun! This is a quick watercolor of some buttercups.
