I'm a huge fan of Hayao Miyakazi's animated films (I highly recommend "My Neighbor Totoro"), and seeing his work inspired me to try a simple animation for the first time.
Here is a ballerina doing an arabesque turn. It took about three hours to go from reference material, to drawing the sketches on a lightbox, to scanning them into photoshop to create a running sequence of images. Animation has always fascinated me; now I have a whole new respect for animators!
