bricks without clay

Here's a sneak peek at the progression of bricks in a spread page illustration for the sketchbook project. This was done with pencils, lots of pencils -- 4H, 2H, H, F, HB, and 2B. 

Also, in the tradition of including the music that I listened to while working, if you haven't heard "Penny and Sparrow" I think they are worth a listen.
